The final half space for this lot and the facemould for it, the same mould can be used for both halves. #wreathmaking #geometrichandrailing #joinery #joiner #handdrawn #waynemavin #sydneyjoinery

Another setout for a half-space wreath on the same stair. This one is pretty simple, I can use the same facemould for both the upper and lower section of the wreath #geometrichandrailing #wreathmaking #joinery #joiner #waynemavin #handdrawn #sydneyjoinery

Back in the workshop setting out wreaths for the 3rd stair of this job. The stairs are marble and made in the usual manner by placing the strings in the same vertical plane and the risers at the landing in the same horizontal plane as the fascia. This means we need to work an easing onto the end of the raking rail below the wreath to lift the rail higher and make a smooth transition into the level. (I generally don’t smooth the transitions of the wreath on the drawing I do this when working it, I’m more concerned with the tangent lines at this stage) #geometrichandrailing #joinery #joiner #waynemavin #sydneyjoinery #wreathmaking

I was nominated by @davedalbywoodturning to share my favourite recent job. This took a bit of time to come up with but I settled on this one. It was not because it was overly challenging and a huge job to take on, it was more that it was so different to what I normally get asked to do. Setting these out and breaking them down into components which I could make entirely on the spindle moulder was the fun (ah.. the spindle moulder )-and making them of course.#joiner #joinery #stavedcolumns #spindlemoulder #waynemavin Ok folks, what’s your favourite recent job?@saspooner_woodwork @arttus_interiors @technicalstairhead @calebjamesmaker @tim_noone_furnituredesign @n.schillaci
